About Us
About Us
Beyond financial expertise, we provide compassionate support, understand the sensitive nature of financial discussions, and offer guidance with empathy and care.
Our History
NJN Financial Group was grown from a committed team with deep Nebraska roots. Over the years, we've evolved alongside the dynamic financial landscape, always prioritizing our local values and community focus.

2000-2011
Nathan Rink began his career as a Financial Advisor at Waddell and Reed in 2000 followed by Jason Rolf 2002. After working independently for nearly a decade to build their clientele, they joined forces in 2011 creating a team, officially known as Team Lincoln, that would form the foundation for what would become NJN Financial Group.
2011
Meanwhile, Michelle Holliday, who began her career with Waddell and Reed Inc. in 1995, and later joined with Eunice Stuart in Fairbury, NE, was working on her own successful practice, moving into her current location in 2011. Though Michelle worked from a different town, she was in Lincoln often where she, Nathan, and Jason would come to know each other personally and professionally.

2016
Nolan Rathe joined Team Lincoln in 2016, completing the set that would form the basis for the company namesake, NJN (Nathan, Jason, Nolan). The team grew during these early years to nine total members. Some have come and gone, but others remain with us today. These include Chet Bigley, and Wendy Conrad.
2020
The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we could interact with our clients reducing the amount of in person meetings held and giving us time to consider the direction of our business. It was during this tumultuous time that it was decided to take on a name that would be reflective of our personal identity. NJN Financial Group as you know it now came into being.
2020 was full of change for us. Not only did we take on a new identity, but we moved into our own independent office space for the first time. Then, in November 2020 as we were settling into our new space on the picturesque Talon golf course at Wilderness Ridge Country Club, we learned Waddell & Reed would be no more and LPL would be their replacement. By this time, we had grown to 11 members and included more familiar faces such as Randy Tvrdik, Tyler Wellman, Clayton Cope, and Andy Miesbach.

2020
During this time, Michelle also brought into existence a new name, A.V.E. Wealth Management. She wanted the name of her company, as she moved into a new phase of her business to reflect the steps of her financial planning process: Assess, Validate, and Execute.
2023
Both A.V.E and NJN continued to grow, and an unexpected turn of events would give our companies the opportunity to grow together. In October 2023, NJN Financial formally joined forces with A.V.E. Wealth Management. As of 2024, this merger brought our total team to 15 members adding Jenifer Busing, Christina Meyer, and Josh Robertson.
We would be remiss not mentioning those who came before us and influenced us personally and professionally: Eunice Stuart, Jo Peterson, Dennis Duckworth, Jerry Haertel, and Bill Rathe. Some of these were partners with us, but all were friends and mentors whose guidance and wisdom helped us each in our own growth and development.

Nolan helps individuals, families, and small businesses create focused financial strategies for wealth accumulation, asset preservation, tax planning, and business transitions.
